Hi Alice! I absolutely love this painting of yours:

In recent years, I’ve featured magnolias in my own art:

And hummingbirds as well!

My idea is to use a modified/smaller version of your magnolia painting, and using a design that looks closer to the hummingbird from my painting, something sort of like this. I like the curved twiggy tendrils framing the design around the edges. (Note how the 2 leaves at the bottom lead into the twiggy tendril.)

I’d like this on my left arm, under my sunflower/bee tattoo you did for me, staying above the elbow.

I’d want the magnolia petals to be as large as possible within the limited space on my arm, so maybe you could modify the design to be even simpler than this if needed…open to any variation that would look best.

Note: I’m not completely married to the hummingbird. A butterfly would be just as pretty, and might fit better into this space. I’d totally be open to a butterfly there instead. Regardless, I like the idea of a winged pollinator friend to go along with the bee. If you have ideas about this, I’d love to hear!

And as you can see, my sunflower could also use a bit of a color refresh! Perhaps we could add just a touch of red/pink tones into the sunflower to go along with the pink in the magnolias.

If I don’t make it onto your schedule this time, maybe at some point in the future. Regardless, I want to thank you for my sunflower tattoo–it is much loved! 🙂
